I’ve written why I felt nervous during interview at about a year ago. The reason was that I was afraid of failure, and the way to overcame it was to realize there are always more serious thing to be afraid of than this one.

I don’t think that way of thinking is true for me anymore.

This is like not seeing the elephant in the room. Are you telling me to imagine a bigger fear to make the fear in front of you disappear? This might work for small fears, but not for the large ones.

You have to face it. Face the fear. Get real feedback from the world. You have to feel the fear yourself, and gain the experience for next stage in your life. It’s like playing a video game; you start with easy levels, gain experience, and move to the harder ones.

This is hard. It goes against human nature. But it’s the only way.

I found the idea of “don’t make any assumptions” and “be your best self” helped me a lot throughout the interview. They made me focus on solving the interview question and not letting my ego get in the way.

Also another idea I found useful is thinking that I have nothing. Everything is a gift from the God (let’s not argue there is God or not, you know what I mean), and everything I receive is because of love. Love is in the grass, in the trees, in the air, in the stars, in the universe. Always remember how much love I received.

I’m joining them today, learning to spread love to everyone and always be kind.
